Immigrant Rights Initiative Internship
The Immigrant Rights Initiative seeks to increase the Lawyers’
Committee’s work on behalf of immigrant populations via impact
litigation, public education, and policy advocacy. The centerpiece of
this initiative features collaboration with the Employment
Discrimination Project to develop the Delmarva Migrant Justice program.
The goal of the Delmarva Migrant Justice Program is to improve the
working conditions of farmworkers and low-wage workers on the eastern
shores of Delaware, Maryland and Virginia.

The Immigrant Rights Initiative welcomes applications from law students
interested in civil rights and immigrants’ rights to participate in
our summer internship program.

Job Description:
Intern activities will vary, but some examples of possible assignments
are as follows:

* Worker outreach
* Legal intake
* Legal research and writing
* Assist in preparing and conducting know-your-rights presentations
for low-wage and migrant workers on the Eastern Shore
